PHYSIO BAND

- a must to follow the Applied Posture Riding program

This is required for strength training to strengthen the riding muscles for riding

Physio band is also called thera-band or rubber tubing. The band is used to provide resistance with out adding weight to the body when exercising for strength and endurance. The horse riding muscles need to be trained for endurance as well as strength. The band is ideal for this type of muscle training.

 

  • The physio-band is rubber tubing, or ribbon like material. It is elastic in natural and virtually weight less. It provides resistance when stretched and eased back. The work load can be increased or decreased by increasing the length of the band. The direction of the stretch will work individual muscles as desired.

  • A MUST HAVE as part of the Applied Posture Riding program. My program is aimed to test and then strengthen all the riding muscles for riding. There is no need to attend the gym when you have a piece of physio- band. The exercises are all designed around the use of the physio-band to strengthen individual muscles and to work specific movement patterns. The physio-band is ideal to do this.

  • A MUST HAVE for posture exercises. The same here. I can teach you to work any or all of your postural muscles by stretching and easing the physio-band into specific directions without adding weight to your body.

  • Provides resistance to the muscles when used correctly. The physio-band can be picked up and used anytime any where. You don’t need to go to the gym or get onto a machine, to work your muscles. When used as instructed in the Applied Posture Riding program the physio-band will build muscle strength in all your muscles. Pick it up do as little as one minute at a time to build strength . It is easy and available in your house 24 hrs if you want.

  • Strengthens muscles both concentric and eccentric control. The muscles shorten to lift an object and lengthen to put it down. Concentric work is lifting and eccentric is putting down Riders need both these muscle functions to ride with skill and sensitivity. By training these muscle action using the physio-band a horse rider will learn better control.

  • Ideal for training upper body posture strength for horse riding. The physio-band is ideal to train the posture muscles by working the arms with the physio-band at the same time as maintaining a good posture. The strength will increase with repetition and correct use.

  • Ideal for training deep core stability for horse riding. The abdominal muscles are worked well when the arms are asked to work harder. The physio-band is ideal to work the deep core muscles while loading the work on the arms. As the arms work harder so must the core muscles. By training the two areas together the function of deep core stability is trained not just the strength. Deep core stability must be functional especially when riding. There is no point being strong if you don’t know how to use it when riding.
